Characterization of expansive soils and mitigation of the swelling phenomenon

On June 28 2025, the PhD defence will take place at 10:00 am at Room Mokhtar Latiri. This research programme, fisrt, suggests a new method of characterization of expansive soils using the oedometer data and the swelling pressure. Second a mitigation technique is proposed and implemented for the construction of a new building at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis. The follow up of the building behavior is in progress to check its suitability for mitigating the swelling phenomanon.
